Tuesday 23rd August 2022: Since first publishing attackpanic back in 2013, I have had the privilege and honour of helping thousands of sufferers from all around the world, from all walks of life heal themselves from various anxiety conditions including panic attacks, agoraphobia, social phobia, driving phobias, GAD, OCD, PTSD, to fear of sleeping bags, breathing (imagine that!), and even drinking water, not only through this book, but also my online course and my four week personal coaching programme. I have learned a great deal over the past nine years through all of the highs and lows, successes and failures while working closely with sufferers through my coaching programme. I have studied and reviewed the latest books, programmes and scientific discoveries promoting so called ‘break throughs’, ‘magic bullets’ or some other claimed ‘quick fix’ to ending anxiety conditions (spoiler alert, there aren’t any!). I have taken the most important insights and lessons learned and incorporated them into this revised and updated edition in the form of new tools and approaches that will help you to adopt and embrace the healing principles outlined within the Building Blocks. Some of these tools include The Problem Solving Process, The Journal, The Daily Planner, more real-life case studies and much more. One unintended positive consequence over the last nine years was the benefit that non-sufferers reported from reading and implementing the healing principles contained within the Building Blocks of the attackpanic programme of healing which you are about to learn about. These principles don’t just help anxiety sufferers remove their underlying anxiety condition, but they can also help non-Sufferers find peace, joy and a meaningful vision of the future. Irrespective of where you are in your own journey of life, whether things are going well right now, or whether you have found yourself in a real pickle, good old fashioned attitudes and mindsets like unconditional love and acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness, present moment awareness and the ability to step back and consciously choose how you want to respond in any given moment can benefit anyone who embraces them. I wish I could offer you some ‘new’ break through, a recently discovered ‘magic bullet’ here in this revised edition that will end your sufferer overnight, I really do! I know exactly what you are going through, I have been where you are. I have seen so much pain and suffering I would love nothing better than to say ‘hey, go here, take this, do this, do that and all your suffering will miraculously disappear and you will once again live an unrestricted, unlimited, full and happy life. But I can’t because that ‘magic bullet’ or ‘quick fix’ doesn’t exist for anxiety sufferers, it didn’t exist nine years ago when I first published attackpanic, and it certainly doesn’t now. But thankfully you don’t need a quick fix to heal yourself, you just need to find the determination to follow the attackpanic programme and be willing to do whatever you have to do to be well again. |
