In this short lesson I introduce the idea of how a non-resistant attitude is the only answer to ending your anxiety condition. If you are an anxiety condition, it is more than likely you are resisting your habitual anxious behaviour, fighting against it, monitoring your every thoughts, anticipating your anxiety, staying on high alert, relying on coping strategies like avoidance and medication, chastising ridiculing yourself when you let your anxiety and panic get the better of you. This resistant attitude is rocket fuel for anxiety and panic. The more you try to control, push aside and fight against your anxiety and panic, the stronger it gets. If a resistant attitude fuels the fire of anxiety, then a non-resistant is the fire extinguisher. This may be a hard pill to swallow for sufferers at first… the concept that a conscious present moment non-resistant attitude; in other words completely giving into and letting go of your anxious sensations and thoughts and being ok with not being ok (not giving a shit basically), is the only answer to ENDING suffering sounds all too easy and very counter intuitive to what you think you should be doing… especially when you have conditioned yourself to respond to your anxiety and panic with fear and resistance. This short lesson will explain a few things for you.
